Nearly 19,000 acres of land in South Carolina has burned in 2025
The recent Table Rock and Persimmon Ridge fires in Greenville and Pickens counties contributed to the figure

According to information from the South Carolina Forestry, the Palmetto State has seen approximately 19,000 acres burned.
The largest share of that figure was from the recently contained Table Rock Fire in Pickens County. That fire's South Carolina portion was 13,845 acres while North Carolina's portion was 635 acres
The Persimmon Ridge Fire in Greenville County was 2,128 acres.
The only other fire that's covered thousands of acres is one in Horry County that's 90 percent contained as of Tuesday, April 8, 2025. That fire's size is 2.059 acres.
