South Carolina announces a combined 174 new jobs

York County facility expected to have 160 new jobs and a Sumter County business expansion planned to create 14 new positions

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster's office announced a combined 174 new jobs are expected to be created in the Palmetto State.

According to a news release from the governor's office on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Komar Industries announced its establishing its first South Carolina facility in York County.

The company manufactures balers and compactors. It plans to invest $11.5 million and create 160 new jobs.

news release from Thursday, March 20, 2025 states that EnerSys will expand its Sumter County operations.

The Pennsylvannia company plans to invest $6.7 million and create 14 new jobs.

In 2024, the company announced it planned to establish its second facility in Greenville County.
